Message"Change we will deliver. We can make Aloria stronger. We can make Aloria healthier. But to do so, we must ask a little more of Alorians. As I speak to you today, the Minister of Finance from my party has submitted to the Parliament a budget which renews Aloria's commitments to defense and to health care, but asks that all Alorians pitch in a little for a share of the cost.

Your country can do more for you: if you are willing to do a little more for your country."

MessageThe Democratic Rationalist Party also favors improvements to Education and Culture. However, it is unknown at this time how much of a surplus the proposed revenue enhancement will generate; though by our calculations we are confident it *will* generate a surplus even accounting for the budget increases. We hope to build a consensus for distributing any surplus through other priorities, including Education and Culture, after we see how much the surplus is.

--Sojourner Smart, Minister of Finance
