Message | Apologies for sumbitting exactly the same Cabinet again, the reason is that the last one should have been passed as it had a majority (of 1) but did not. This I am told could have been due to a bug which has now been fixed. Therefore please vote on this proposal instead. If it still doesn't pass then I will submit a new revised Cabinet - after all the present state of affairs cannot continue, Telamon needs a government!! |

Message | the Libertarians will not disband the military whilst I'm Head of State. I can't give you defence but would consider giving you one of either infrastructure, Health or Education |

Message | Can the defence be disbanded? I did not know that? And does it matter who is in the government, except that we must have one? |

Message | Not that they'd make a bad cabinet, but they need a majority. We are a parliament after all. |

Message | a fascist parliament |
Date | not recorded | From | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of January 2039 |
Message | 1) There is no fascist parliament. Fascists don't vote, they threaten and fight. 2) Libertarians are not fascists. Fascists try to force everyone into their mold, much like communists. Libertarians want everyone to be free and make the strongest possible interpretation ov freedom, so very much not fascists. 3) "We" did not refer to libertarians only, but to the whole parliament. Otherwise the statement would not have been true. Or maybe you mean you are a fascist? |

Message | Can I remind the Communists that the purpose of forming a Cabinet is to form a government with a majority. The government parties should be ideologically similar, that is why I chose coalition with the Libertarians, as Communist have a very different ideology, which of course you are absolutely entitled to. It may be necessary in order to pass this proposal to form a national unity government but remember that I have proposed a compromise - that I will support the Communist Party's gun control laws in exchange for them supporting THIS Cabinet proposal (sse Gun Laws thread). The final thing to say is that this talk of 'Fascists' must stop. There are NO Facist parties in Telamon we are very lucky in that respect (look at some of the other nations). The UCA deplores fascism in all its forms and would never enter coalition with a fascist party, we implore all other parties to undertake the same commitment. Therefore this talk of fascists is unhelpful and not conducive to debate. I therefore finally ask the Communist Party will you accept my compromise offer on your Gun laws or not? |
