| The Conservative Adeptus Mechanicus (CAM) propose to adjust the government's budget to better save taxpayer money. This spending cut will maintain quality essential services while working within the proposed tax system (see Income Tax Proposal of October 2525). Cutting services is never to be taken lightly but it is fiscally irresponsible to cut taxes without cutting spending and vice versa. As such this revised budget makes cuts as necessary. It was devised by drastically cutting all departments and then incrementally increasing the funding for each department until a sustainable number was reached. The budget for all departments was to not exceed 100 Billion TPD by more than 500 million and this proposed budget comes 50 million under that ceiling. It is fiscally impossible to push this budget to a higher cost without raising taxes. Raising taxes, more than the Income Tax Proposal of October 2525, is criminal. These proposed spending cuts must not be evaluated on their own. Any spending cut must occur with a corresponding cut in taxes. Please refer to the Tax Proposal of October 2525 for this. Together they cut spending to the essentials, allowing for a small surplus, and cut taxes as much as possible. This combined effort will put money back in the pocket of tax payers and still maintain quality services to all. |
