Bill: CP.0019.2527 Animal Testing in Cosmetics Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2528

Description[?]:

The CP has always supported animal testing in a regulated environment. The current law prohibits animal testing in cosmetics although over 60% are in favour of it, according to the latest poll. Although many favour unregulated testing, the CP feels that at this time, it would be too great a leap. Therefore, we propose the middle option of regulated animal testing.

MessageWe are opposed to the torture and violation of animal rights just so some idiots can wear the ltest shade of make-up.

Further this would violate our animal rights laws.

MessageDSP, these ARE our animal rights laws. Pay attention.

Moreover, this does not permit torture of animals, nor does it involve a violation of their "rights" as far as is acknowledged by the state.
