Description[?]:

An Act to provide a fair system for student tuition grants:

1. Members of households who earn less than 18,000 BEL per year shall receive 100% of their tuition and fees paid for by the United Kingdom;
2. Members of households who earn more than 18,001 BEL but less than 25,500 BEL per year shall receive 50% of their tuition and fees paid for by the United Kingdom;
3. Members of households who earn more than 25,501 BEL per year shall not receive a subsidy from the United Kingdom;
4. All households may deduct the portion of their tuition and fees that they pay from their taxable income each year (unused deductions may be carried forward into future tax years; deductions not used by students may be transferred to their parents/guardians);
5. All those under the age of 25 years will be included in their parent/guardians household as a dependant while attending post-secondary education;
6. All those who can demonstrate that their parents/guardians are unable or unwilling to assist with their tuition will be eligible for special circumstance grants up to 100% of tuition costs and associated fees;
7. Student loans are to be made on the credit of the United Kingdom at zero-interest for those who demonstrate a need to borrow funds to make their portions tuition payments; these loans are only to be repaid when the student is no longer enrolled full-time in a post-secondary institution.
