Bill: CP.0029.2529 Establishing the SMPRS Bill + RP
Details
Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2529
Description[?]:
The CP requests that the Ministry of Education and Culture establish the "Sekowan Motion Picture Rating System" whereas it will categorize films with regard to suitability for children and/or adults in terms of issues such as sex, violence, drugs, profanity or other types of mature content. The granting of a rating is called a "motion picture certification" or "certification" for short. This helps the people of Sekowo decide whether a movie is suitable for themselves and/or their children. A rating imposes on movie theaters the legal obligation of refusing the entrance of minors to the movie. The bill requests that parties submit their thoughts in this bill as debate as to the structure, but leaves the final structure draft to be proposed by the ministry and submitted as a bill. |
Proposals
Article 1

Old value:: The viewing of movies is not regulated by the government.
Current: The viewing of movies is not regulated by the government.
Proposed: The government sets a range of standards (to be determined) but these only apply to movie theaters.

Message | I'm sorry to say, but we are on the fence again, though I must commend you on having a creative system instead of the bland and full of holes one that was proposed last time. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
Random quote: "The main problem of the left is that it has been traditionally divided and unable to reach agreements between different leftist views, whilst the right has almost always moved in the same direction by giving concessions to different rightist points of view." - Aelius Celer, former Selucian politician |
