Message | You forget those who want a statist autocracy... Anyway we are uncomfortable with throwing this sop to the Ralds. We approve of the new names, and we prefer the name "Republic-Empire" to "Free Federation". But we do not want a High Emperor. It goes against our holy writ, the Edicts Saiserica: "Monarchies are a foe to Saiserism more blunt and less subtle than the posions of democracy and republicanism, but all the stronger because of it. Kings and Emperors are clear signs of decay within a State, and no pure State can long survive whilst being debilitated thus. The ultimate power of the State must be earned by the men who wield it, for it is critical that they be the best and greatest of men, and hereditary rule thus assures the State's failure." ~from Volume IV of the Edicts Saiserica "As the Saiserist truth unfolds and the haplessness of inferior governments and methods are revealed, the snakes of opposing viewpoints will try to keep their treachery against the State active but concealed. Ideas will arise such as 'Branches of Government', 'Sharing of Power'. This primarily occurs wihtin the concept of a republican forum within a State subject by rule to one Saiser (OOC: also interpretable as 'autocrat'), yet this dooms the State for a myriad of reasons [...] This also occurs when the Monarchists attempt to stay, even if they must concede actual power. The idea of a 'Constitutional Monarchy' is an old one, and one that cannot be tolerated in a pure State. These shadowy monarchs are eternally behind the scenes, gobbling tax money, stealing public attention, and incessantly being a silent dagger in the side of the ruling Saiser (OOC: again, also interpretable as 'autocrat') |

Message | No problem at all then. The issue of making a constitutional monarch should be dealt with and debated seperately from thee renaming endeavors. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
