Message | This law simply violates any logical-democratic-human sense. |

Message | If they fear Death as their inevitable penalty, they will commit no crimes. If every crime was punishable by Death, there would be no crime. |

Message | "On crimes and punishment" by Cesare Beccaria, a book written in 1764, explains how you are a fool. Among the arguments he makes against the death penalty is the fact that the state, to punish a crime, it makes one in turn. And the law of this State, which is nothing more than the sum of the rights of citizens, can not have such power. In fact, no person - says Beccaria - would permit others to kill him/her. |

Message | An Individual may not have the power to make such a judgment. The State has power all-encompassing, superseding any questioning. Incidentally, for proper debate one should explain how it is a "crime". Murder is not sanctioned by the State. Execution is. Morality is entirely subjective and, in reality, morality is whatever is writ into law. |

Message | Fortunately other parties think, as I do, that the death penalty for "most minor and all major criminal offences" is an horrible crime against humanity. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
