Message | We are currently running a deficit of approximately 25 billion MCR. This will increase the deficit to approximately 29 billion. We oppose this. |

Message | We are giving tax breaks to the poor, cutting back unnecesary government spending, but still increasing spending by a large amount by huge increases where it is needed, like social services and education. Still we manage to build a defecit to protect our country against what ever the future holds, and allowing futher cuts in the future. But it seems the SiD oppose it, since helping those in need, but cutting unnecesary government spendeture build up whilst they were in power was not their idea. They showed their own inability to run economics by their drastic in and their own words wrong tax cuts. The recent elections shows who the people trust with their money. |

Message | We made a tax cut that was too large, so we proposed a tax increase. Finding the perfect balance is an ever changing quest as the economy changes. This has led to some of the highest levels of support for SSD since our founding over a century ago, so we feel we are doing something right. We also advise the financial experts in the moderate centrist party to research the differences between surpluses and deficits. |
