Bill: Regulation of Private Education Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Ducal Delegation
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2108
Description[?]:
Most of Aldegar's private schools provide an excellent service, but there are a minority which have grossly abused and neglected their pupils, or have left crucial areas of study off the curriculum altogether. Whilst we are positive about the role private schools have to play in our education system, and have no ambition to drown them in red tape or 'micro-manage' them through the Education Department, we do feel that some regulation - some checks and balances - are necessary. Schools need to equip pupils to live in the society they are growing up in, and it is the responsibility of government to ensure everything is done to ensure that happens. |
