Message | We currently require people to register domestic animals with their local governments. And that is right, for safety reasons. It stands to reason that wild animals would be regulated the same way. Local governments are best able to craft law to deal with the specific needs of their territory. |

Message | This is not about custom, it is about consistency. Domestic animals are regulated by local governments, it stands to reason that other animals would be too. |

Message | Current law is fine, we don't want to have the locals to determine this. For goodness sake, they could allow all wild animals to be kept as pets without any restrictions or precautions whatsoever for exmple. I wouldn't be too happy if my neighboor keeps a lion in a poorly constructed hen house in his backyard, if my children are playing outside. |
