Message | We are generally in favour of deregulating industries and encouraging the free market. However, with the depletion of fish stocks worldwide such a problem, this is not an option. Quotas are very difficult and expensive to enforce, and we cannot be sure that the commercial fishing boats are using environmentally friendly methods to catch the fish. The only solution to this is to nationalise the industry. A state owned enterprise, Tukarali Fisheries Ltd, will be in charge of all fishing operations in Tukarali waters. This will give us the utmost control over fishing, and allow us the ability to ensure fish stocks are well maintained, for future generations. |

Message | oppose this would be worse environmentally than the current law once the gov controls the industry, targets for greater catch are inevitable |

Message | Are you possibly trying to advance the ludicrous notion that private enterprise cares more about maintaining fisheries than the government? If the government didn't care, why do we have the current regulations? The union of the six parties in this nation is the government. The JUP, making up more than a quarter of the government, do care about maintaining fisheries. |
