Bill: Farm Size Devolution Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Rationalists (PrCoa)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2532

Description[?]:

If local governments want to keep megacorporations from dominating farms, why shouldn't the federal government let them help keep farms in the hands of small farmers by capping farm sizes?

On the other hand, if local governments prefer the efficieny of large farms, why shouldn't the federal government let them make that choice?

Generally, the federal ban on farm size regulation makes little sense.
