If local governments want to keep megacorporations from dominating farms, why shouldn't the federal government let them help keep farms in the hands of small farmers by capping farm sizes? On the other hand, if local governments prefer the efficieny of large farms, why shouldn't the federal government let them make that choice? Generally, the federal ban on farm size regulation makes little sense. |
