Voting deadline: October 2536

Description[?]:

My fellow representatives, as you may know the nation of Zardugal has declared war against Cobura for no other reason than
to enslave them and form an empire.

This action can not be allowed to go on ignored.
Therefore we ask that we all put our partisan differences aside and declare our support for Cobura via military and civil support.

The pro-slavery side however controls Zardugal.

MessagePPS, no need to worry.

The Ministry of Defense is looking into all combat and humanitarian possibilities. The Ministry will present a plan of action. For now, the only order was that all standard training missions have been postponed and active naval ships have been deployed towards the coast of Zardugal and Cobura but have been given no orders to get involved in any conflict. They will assist the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in evacuation only, for the time being. However, if either nation attacks our fleet, we will blow them back to the 23rd century with nightmares to fill their sleep for a thousand years.

The Ministry will prepare and post its plan and full numbers (which are being calculated now) in this bill thread.

MessageStrange how when the CP proposed setting up an emergency response for foreign aid, DSP was not for it. Now that there is an emergency, we will not be stalled by talks and not actions.

The CP is disappointed in DSP flip-flop manner but agrees with the DSP that the Zargudal-Cobura War will need Sekowo, among other nation's attention.

What is the DSP suggesting Sekowo do? Money? Military equipment? We need a plan with set deadlines and revision dates so that we don't land up with the Lourenne Affair again. I propose that the DSP continually modifies the description of this resolution until the majority of parties be in support of the actions Sekowo will undertake.

MessageSince we were'nt aware how different parties would react we simply stated we should help out.
Considering the last time we suggested Sekowo militarily get involved in a foreign war (against the pro-slavery side in Zardugal) it was rejected, we were not sure that we'd have support.

MessageMilitary Support Proposal
----------------------------------
*** The equipment and servicemen listed below will be deployed to the coast of Zardugal and Cobura. The commanders of the mission have no clearance for launching attacks. However, they have been given the right to attack anyone who strikes first. THE MILITARY HAS A CURRENT STATUS OF PEACE. ***

Among the fleet are land soldiers and officers, with a high proportion of Special Forces. As there is no plan to land, we are keeping limited ground forces aboard Sekowan Navy ships.

1 Fleet Command Ship (1,092 crewmen - incl. command)

Warships: 20
10 Littoral Combat Ship (794 crewmen)
2 Destroyers (562 crewmen)
3 Battleships (7,310 crewmen)
3 Frigates (498 crewmen)
2 Cruiser (645 crewmen)
** Will also be used for escorts of cargo and ammunition ships

Carriers: 15
5 aircraft carriers (26,591 total crewmen - incl. airmen + 450 aircrafts)
10 helicopter carriers (4,259 total crewmen - incl. airmen + 150 helicopters )
** Reconnaissance

Civil Use Ships: 2
1 Hospital Ship (1,253 crewmen - incl. medical staff)
1 salvage ship (37 crew)

Non-offensive: 40
10 Mine Countermeasure ship (183 crewmen)
30 Coastal Patrol Ships (361 crewmen - incl. search & rescue)
** patrols, security

Submarines: 14
7 attack submarines (851 crewmen)
7 missile submarines (867 crewmen)

Transports: 8
4 Ammo ships (524 crewmen + equipment)
4 Cargo Ships (318 crewmen + equipment)
** Going to and from Sekowo
** Evacuation ship (e.g. party militia wishing to leave)

Although some of the ships are already on their way (due to their training in open waters was in close proximity to the war zone), I wish to hear from everyone on what they think and how to best use our troops. This is a good exercise for all ships and crewmen who participate. If no opposition, I will message both the nations to make them aware of our force and our neutral status and that any attack on any of our ships is a declaration of war.

We wish the two countries to solve their differences diplomatically. However, we do understand the need for military intervention if things get very hostile. In that scenario, Sekowo will be ready.

MessageUSMC, do what you feel the people who voted you in want you to do. DSP, we condone any hostility against the USMC and their views on the topic.

After talking with our supporters, they have expressed their wish for Sekowo to end the terrors of other nations but not at a costly life expense of Sekowans. Air and naval bombardment only.

=D Point well made, NPP. Maybe should send that spokesperson to Zardugal. Apparently, they shoot their POWs if they have zero hostage value. Wait ... that was me! D'oh! No, no. I do have a hostage value ... hopefully.

MessageDue to the vote against military support for Cobura, the Ministry of Defense has issued new commands to the fleet commander.

Approximately half of the naval fleet have already come home. Others are conducting special exercises in the area off the coast of Cobura and Zardugal. The exercises consists mostly of reconnaissance and data acquisition. After completing such exercises, they will return to normal duties.

MessageAll parties have differences. The CP regrets that a mutual consent could not be met for aid to Cobura, as was the clear victim in this crisis. The CP will recommend again to install emergency foreign aid plans to quickly supply aid to regions in difficulties. The Sekowan population will see how well parties can come to agreements in the coming months. The CP hopes all parties will be respectful and work towards the common goal of helping one another while increasing the international reputation of Sekowo.
