Bill: Let Parliament Govern

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Ordo Malleus (COM)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2536

Description[?]:

There is much good work to be done by Parliament. However, this august body is restricted from getting through as much necessary legislation due to stringent controls on how much legislation each party can propose. We suggest that doubling the number of allowed proposals per year (from 20 to 40, and from 5 to 10 at a given time) will allow Parliament to govern more efficiently and quickly. We will be able to cover twice the ground in half the time. This shall enable savings across the board while also encouraging parties to propose more efficient and important legislation.
