Voting deadline: September 2536

Description[?]:

This bill is seeking funding for the Next Generation Fighter Aircraft Programme (NGFAP). The goal of the programme is to provide a fighter aircraft that will replace the F-15SG in the air superiority role. The F-15SG is a capable aircraft, but it is not a dedicated air superiority fighter. The F-15SG will be kept in the inventory for precision strikes.

Currently, we have six contenders: the Sukhoi S-32, the Mikoyan-Gurevich Project 1.44, the Northrop YF-23, the Dassault Rafale, the NEMTA Typhoon and the Sukhoi Su-37. We will run an intensive evaluation programme, looking at all aspects of aircraft performance, including speed, agility, mission payload, fuel capacity, stealth capability, maintenance costs, engine performance. We will have a candidate within four years of the inception of the programme.
