From | United Blobs | To | Debating the Revised Speed Control Reform | Message | So why do you vote for it at local level but not want it at national level? Perhaps you could give more reasons for your view? Or do I have to try to pass a bill making it compulsory to back up all views made in debate? |

From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the Revised Speed Control Reform | Message | I would readily agree to a single National body having control over speed limits as having differing speed limits in individual constituencies is farcical. |

From | People's Party of Oppressive Liberation | To | Debating the Revised Speed Control Reform | Message | The PPOL can not support this. Different areas will have differing road conditions nessesicating differing safe driving speeds. The locals will have a far better idea of what speeds are safe on there roads than a person sitting in an office in the capital who has never been to that region. |

From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the Revised Speed Control Reform | Message | Road speeds are a maximum speed for said routes. National speed limits are much easier to implement as it standardises route speeds. If Local Govt has complete control over route speeds, than Motorways which in one Constituency has a limit of 70kph can in another Constituency be unregulated. This is confusing for the public, and a foolish way to operate a Country wide road network. |

From | Socialist Party | To | Debating the Revised Speed Control Reform | Message | Yes to the bill. We understand the PPOL's comments, but argue that even local gouvernements are bureaucrartiics enjoying a rich pay - this pobrem cannot be solved under capitalism, but requires a democratic socialist system. As said cannot be obtained under the current circumstances; we believe a national agreement is better suited. |
