MessageA consumption tax hike and increasing corporate income tax amounts to slamming on the brakes for the economy. The drop in income tax will not offset the damage done, especially if the surplus grows and government expenditures rise.

MessageIt depends what you want to do. If you have some specific spending priorities in mind, i suggest you reallocate the budget before you raise funds - that way, even if you do need more money, you know how much and then you can spread the hike around.

Whatever you do, remember that large surpluses represent money that is withdrawn from the economy (its never spent). Surpluses are almost as bad as deficits.

MessageThe main aim of this government is to cut income tax, we realise that the Liberal Party opposes this. Our thanks for your kind advice, the Finance Ministry will be creating the Budget soon. The Priorities in the Budget will be defence, Internal affairs, education and health.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.

Random quote: "The great strength of the totalitarian state is that it forces those who fear it to imitate it." - Adolf Hitler
