Details

Submitted by[?]: Peasant Party Of Sekowo

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2539

Description[?]:

The Peasantry of this country will shut down the countryside unless the land reform plans are reinstated.

The Peasant Party is prepared to support the Landless and disenfranchised Peasantry in all and any such actions to bring about fair distribution of land.

We ask for the Parties who are wishing Electoral Support for their bloc from the Peasant Party to vote in favour of this proposals. And those parties who wish for calm and secure food supplies to likewise vote in favour.

The Recent bill put in by the DSP, along with other bills legalizing pornography and drugs should not be supported. Not enough care was put through with the vote.

MessageMost of Sekowo's food crops are'nt grown on farms in the countryside, they're grown in large Urban farming facilities in the cities.

MessageSince I know several parties won't take me at my word and are to lazy to look it up, here's the legislation;

MessageWhile I do not know that you could claim that MOST of Sekowo's foodcrops are grown in those, you can certainly claim that many do.

Ironically, anyone proposing a repeal of that law would probably find enough support to pass it now. Thanks for pointing this out, DSP.

MessageLand reclamation was also part of that bill. And more than 40% of Sekowo's food was, at the time of that bill, grown in Sekowo.

MessageYes, land reclamation in cities, like unused building lots and fields and things like that.

MessageDidn't we just vote this law into existance, I think we should not waffle so much.

MessageWe would like to point out the hypocrisy of the FDP which claims itself to be a lIbertarian party yet will follow the whims of a tiny party for purely political reasons and vote for a very unlibertarian issue.

MessageCompromise can sometimes be an important part of politics, DSP.

That said, after extensive party discussion, we have decided that we cannot justify supporting this bill at this time.

MessageThe DSP claims to be pro-freedom and yet is anti religious and anti-free market, both anti freedom stances.

MessageFighting for secularity is hardly a bad thing, and the only thing we've actually ever done that could be percieved that way was voting against allowing public officials from wearing blatant religious things while doing their job.

Economics have nothing to do with freedom.

MessageActually, no one who does not have freedom of the wallet can truly claim to be free, DSP.

Also, that's certainly not the only thing, though it is definitely one thing.

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself.
