Message | Our recognition notwithstanding, those laws will exist regardless. Furthermore, and I can't emphasize this enough, if Hutori ratifies this treaty it prevents their citizens from using information in our commons for profit without first obtaining permission. This protection, protecting the commons from exploitation, is far more important to us than gaining the ability to buy and sell information. |

Message | Those laws will exist in Hutori regardless, but they won't exist here unless we choose to recognise them. And I don't quite see why the commons should be protected from exploitation. What do we have to lose by allowing them profit from our information? |
