| Message | Our voting theorists tell us that though Article 2 would increase the number of legislators by only 5.9%, it would increase the number of peer interactions in the legislature by 12.1% (in absolute terms the increase would be from 90,100 to 101,025). This will in turn lead to a substantial increase in the amount of money the government needs to spend on correspondence between senators. Though we would prefer the size of the legislature be smaller than it is now, we accept the current size as a compromise. We object to the proposed increase. |
