Voting deadline: June 2541
Description[?]:
"This was a thoughtless attack on freedom of belief, on freedom of man, on human being itself. Belief has a special place in a man's life. A belief, as the corpus of opinions concerning the world, the man's place in the world, moral values, metaphysical explanation, and many more, a belief comes before all other determinations and actions. Belief gives sense to science, culture, everyday life. Belief allows to estimate and rate all aspects of life. Belief is the pair of glasses that enables all the aspects of human life. And do not forget that atheism and agnosticism are forms of belief too, as they are stances on the world, on human being and a man's place in the world. So if you ban every form of religion you in fact establish the strongest compulsive state religion of all, namely a dumb and blinded atheism. You force your belief on the people, and that is nothing better than some medieval theocracy and inquisition..." Dionysos Rubenitz in 2533 "In addition: A belief, from atheism to catholicism and beyond, has influence on life, even more a belief has to visibly influence a man's life. A belief that doesn't manifest is no belief. Also your blinded atheism has to manifest to be true atheism. [...] We want freedom of decision for our people, we want personal responsibility. It is false and degrading to think the people have to be patronized. You call yourself a people's party. Proove you are. We belief that the people of Hutori are grown-up and mature enough to decide for themselves." Zephir Mendelsohn, chief ideologist |
