Message | We believe that subsidising businesses is outside the proper scope of government. Moreover, we are confident that the existing pollution restrictions and pollution credit trading facilities already providing sufficient incentive for industry to research and develop processes that use renewable technology (as renewable sources tend to be lower polluting than non-renewable sources). Moreover, the free market inherently provides cost incentives for renewable sources since the market price of non-renewable fuels increases as supply diminishes (e.g., high oil prices encourage car manufacturers to invest in fuel cell and hybrid technologies, power generation companies increasingly invest in hydro and wind as the costs of oil and gas increase). |

Message | If it is a waste of money, why would the RCP vote yes. |

Message | Are you suggesting that the ultimate determinant of the quality of a proposal is whether the RCP supports it? |
