Bill: National Anthem Proposal 2109

Details

Submitted by[?]: Totalitarian Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2110

Description[?]:

The Totalitarian Party feels the current national anthem of Gaduridos does not do our nation justice. It attempts to be great, but sounds more like a child's nursery rhyme. Therefore, we propose this new anthem. We believe it embodies the spirit of our nation. Our citizens will no longer be ashamed to sing our national anthem at the top of their voices, and they will certainly fill with pride at the sound of it.

MessageOur nation has faced disaster on many occasions, yet we have always overcome it. I believe our troubles in the past have shaped Gaduridos into the grand nation it is today. We must not forget the hardships we have faced, and ultimately risen above, to reach this point.

MessageThere is more than disaster represented in the anthem. Would you like to contribute any themes you would like added? I don't mind adding to or changing it.

MessageI've added an extra stanza to make it less about disaster. "only in disaster can love, show it is strong and true" has been changed. "for the Gaduridian land" is now "for the Gaduri land".

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
