Details

Submitted by[?]: We Say So! Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2544

Description[?]:

In order to reduce the complexity within the current legal systems of this Nation, the Government will, henceforth and with immediate effect, enact the following proposals into law.

Article 1: National Parks.

In order to guarantee clean, accessible access to natural greenery and protection of sites deemed to be of importance to protected species as well as providing areas for public relaxation and entertainment, the Government will actively support a national network of parks and mariners designed to provide green spaces throughout the Country.
The Government will work in conjunction with both local and national community leaders to guarantee that the areas designated for these parks and mariners will provide the best quality possible for public access as well as the protection of species within these ecosystems. In so doing, local bureaucracy expenditure will be reduced as all expenditure can be expressed through a single national budget.

Article 2: National Culture.

In order to guarantee the cultural past is not destroyed for future generations, the Government will actively protect scenery, localities, cultural, and historical sites deemed to be in the public interest, or of historical significance.
The Hobrazian Historical and Cultural Society (HHCS) will be given the responsibility for protecting and maintaining these sites for present and future generations, and will be allowed to select those sites it believes are important.
The public may apply for areas to be designated as culturally significant, and the HHCS will then decide whether these areas of of significance to the Country, or the County.
Access to the public will be provided by the HHCS and will, wherever possible, be free. In the few instances that areas require a charge for their upkeep, these charges will be kept to a minimum in order to allow all citizens to enjoy them fully.

The introduction of the above mentioned articles will allow a single set of laws and regulations to be implemented replacing the current multiple and confusing version currently in operation within this nation.
We are one nation, not many. We have one set of laws, not many. We are the Second Imperial Republic of Hobrazia not the Second Federated Republics of Hobrazia.

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset.
