Message | We are opposed mainly because of the first Article, stating that all education has to happen at school. Every child has different educational needs, and some children learn much more effectively in a home, or in small groups of friends, rather than in a school. Some children learn best through a conbination of school and homeschooling. We believe children and their parents should be able to make their own choices regarding their own education. We believe that letting people learn at their own pace, in their own style, will help them be innovative, creative, and independent thinkers. School may be right for some people, and wrong for others. But that's for the people to decide, not us. OOC: I'm homeschooled in real life, so I may be a bit biased. Then again, isn't bias what politics is all about? :) |
