MessageThe CMP seems to have dissapeared. With this many empty seats surely this warrants early elections. Frankly, we all stand to gain seats before a new party signs up.

MessageThe DLP has also left; currently 309 seats out of 425 are full. It's time for a new election; there's really no reason to oppose this.

MessageI am opposing this on the basis that we cannot simply have early elections every time someone leaves. The people party used to firmly believe in a basis for elections to fill seats but now we can see a case for finishing off the term that the electorate asked us to serve. I was asked to become First Minister, I was elected, 95 of the 425 People Party candidates were elected to the Chamber and we need to sort through our legislative bills before the next election, so I oppose an early election.

MessageYou oppose the right for fair and equal representation quite clearly; how is it you call yourself the People Party when your interests are clearly those of your party and no one else?

MessageIt is in the interests of the people that the people get what they want by having who they want elected and running the country. The people chose me, so I will govern until further notice. The majority of people in our country are interested in elections and electing politicians and parties to posts this is evident from our high turn out rates, but what people don't want is constant hassle every time a party leaves, they want a party to get on with it and govern, not to constantly be hassled every time a party dissolves.

MessageRespectfully,

Your statements are a clear contradiction. You say it is in the interests of the people to get what they want by having who they want elected in power. I agree. And given the loss of two major parties; those voters clearly do not have what they want. Why then do you oppose this if not out of fear of loosing some seats?

Signed,
Party Chairman, Edward 'Tipp' Wagner

MessageI oppose this because the majority of our country has what it wants. 309 (correct me if am wrong) regions/states have what they want in power. I won the First Minister elections by 60% a clear front runner and I won 95 seats, I have permission to represent them for 3 years and I will do just that. I am not scared about losing seats because this is the first early election bill I have opposed and there have been numerous when I have held the HoS and had the majority of seats that I have supported, so it is wrong to say I am hypocritical, my record shows this party isn't.

MessageA majority may have what they want but, not all. I concede you won the First Minister elections in a very commendable and respectable lead in the last elections. Despite our parties sincerest wishes, even if this passed it is our assumption you would win this post again for a net-gain of time; how is this not in your interest and the peoples?

Respectfully,
Party Chairman, Edward 'Tipp' Wagner

MessageIn all likelyhood People Party will retain HoS even after these elections. It is only the people that gain from the election in regaining their representation.

What is the People Party afraid of?

MessageThe People will get their say at the next election. What you may not be aware of is that Solentia has fixed term parliaments. This means elections every 3 years on the dot, therefore early elections in this sense undermines the authority of our constitution and of our rules. Yes we have lost 2 strong and prominent parties, but the electorate will get their chance to pick a new Representative at the next election.

MessageAirhead Andrews, I must calmly ask if you are aware that the constitution itself PROVIDES for early elections for the very reason of collapse of member parties?
