Bill: GJA Budget Proposal - 4.23.2547.AD

Details

Submitted by[?]: New Socialist Agenda

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2547

Description[?]:

"I know we've got enemies, but are we crazy? ~65 percent of the budget towards defense is on target. 80 percent means we've gone crazy and that any terrorists attempting to terrorize us have certainly done their job. Any nation with 80 percent of its government budget dedicated to defense is screaming for help. It is cowering in fear.

Meanwhile, we need to fund our educational system. The general well-being of a nation is a direct reflection of the intelligence and education of a populace. You want a wide-sweeping improvement in society? In fact, do you want to get more out of your military with less money? Improve the education."

-Raamiah Galgenstrick, Chairman of the GJA

>>Be it enacted by the Knesset of the Sixth Jewish Homeland of Beiteynu, let it be resolved that the budget of budget of the Homeland be altered so that,

1)A total of 650 billion BEI is spent towards the funding of the defense ministry.
2)A total of 210 billion BEI is spent towards the funding of the education ministry.

This joint resolution shall be enacted by a vote of one half of the Knesset in favor, regardless of who votes.<<

Random fact: The influence a bill has on elections decreases over time, until it eventually is no longer relevant. This can explain shifts in your party's position to the electorate and your visibility.

Random quote: "The answer to global warming is in the abolition of private property and production for human need. A socialist world would place an enormous priority on alternative energy sources. This is what ecologically-minded socialists have been exploring for quite some time now." - Louis Proyect
