Bill: Peace Process Reedition
Details
Submitted by[?]: General Confederation of Labour
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2548
Description[?]:
We propose the following changes to Likaton National Front's Ceasefire Proposal: That the name of the nation be changed to "The AM/PFL Likatonian Confederation" Only gunners will be judged, no political militants will be judged or arrested. That all PFL parties submit to extensive independent audit to establish the existence or otherwise of links to terrorist groups or activities. That any PFL parties found to have such links be impeached and removed from Convocation pending charges. That the PCA renounce violence, support of violence, and give up any details they have of terror cells working in Likatonia or abroad. The "Likatonian Confederal Government in Exile" will be disolved and like the Second Proposal says, they are politicians and they won't be judged. |

Message | Disarm. Desist. Democratise. Once the militant wing of the PFL is disbanded, we can come to the table on issues like the name of the nation. Tyranny of the minority is not going to win the day, no matter how many civilians the PCA murders. Other AM parties may be more open. Am SuDP will not negotiate on this issue. There can be NO democratic solutions whilst the PCA embrace arms. |

Message | Cannot agree on a name that keeps the AM brand. |

Message | We suggest you bring pressure to bear on the PCA murderers, then. The sooner they 'grow up' to join the democratic adults, the sooner we can debate real isues. |

Message | At least we'll talk with the PCA,. Your party only seeks to issolate them and that solves nothing. |

Message | We don't seek to isolate them. We seek to legitimise them. That means they must be absolved of their current actions, by whatever means necessary. Simply pretending nothing has been happening is not an acceptable route to peace. It opens the flood gates for ANY militant organisation to take to the streets and kill, if they so wish. As for 'talking to the PCA', what exactly does that entail? Are the CLP sponsoring terror now? |
