Message | I oppose this act. I believe that after the first trimester, it is a baby, not a featus inside the womb. |

Message | The United Aloria party supports the Socialist Liberal Party's claims that the comment made by the Freedom Party were not a joke, as it was not funny. We appreciate the Freedom Party's attempt to lighten the mood, but this is the debating chamber, and we prefer to keep the idle chat and banter for the pub or cafe whilst in recess. To the point at hand. United Aloria strongly agrees with the status quo, however, supports a very limited interpretation of the proposed change. Only in extreme circumstance should abortions be permitted post-12 weeks, and only up to 20 weeks. Emotional 'wellbeing', effect on the mother's life etc. are not suitable reasons for a termination at this point. Only medical personnel with the appropriate training should be permitted to allow this, and only then by consensus by three independent appraisals. In summary, we do not support this bill in its current formulation. |
