Details
Submitted by[?]: National Zeus Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2548
Description[?]:
The NZP has brought forth this bill for consideration by our esteemed colleagues because It is reasonable to think that an adult would need to protect themselves against those who intend to do them harm. For those of you who may say "Well if nobody had guns than we would not need guns to protect ourselves." My response is that it is not the law abiding and and socially productive citizens that we must worry about, but it is those that wish to promote anarchy and pursue criminal activities that we must be able to protect ourselves from. The possibility that a citizen my own a gun is a strong deterrent to those who wish to hurt their fellow countrymen. Of Course there will be strict limitations and requirements for weapon ownership and we believe these limitations will only put weapons in the hands of those who are responsible enough to handle them. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Ownership of guns by private individuals.
Old value:: Individuals are not permitted to own firearms under any circumstances.
Current: Adult individuals are allowed to own and purchase guns freely.

Message | Since the inception of the United Democratic Party, I have personally been very distraught over the current policy regarding personal weapons. The law-abiding people of Solentia should have a RIGHT to protect themselves from those who do not follow the rules and who carry illegal firearms. We proudly vote yes on this legislation in hopes of creating a better, safer country for our constituents. Signed, Party Chairman, Hillary Rodham |
