Description[?]:
"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And when you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you." - Friedrich Nietzche The NZP feels that under absolutely no circumstances should our police force or any other agencies use torture as a means of interrogation or punishment. A great nation such as Solentia must ask itself "Are we ok with this?" If we use such barbaric practices we will lose our soul as a nation of freedom and open-mindedness. The NZP urges you to support this peice of legislation, because if we continue on such a path it will only lead to worse and worse things. |

Message | Why don't you just give our enemies the keys to our cities. Why do you hate Solentia? |

Message | Respectfully, The United Democratic Party does not feel that the current policy on torture is barbaric or monster-like. Under no circumstances would we ever tolerate meaningless or unjust torture; however, the key phrase in the current legislation is "under grave emergencies where the information is vital." If a situation were to arise in which national security was at risk, then we would be prepared to take whatever means necessary to protect the people of Solentia. For this reason, we regrettably opt not to support this legislation. Although we don't see eye-to-eye on this particular issue, I hope that we will be able to work together to pass future legislation covering different issues. Sincerely, Party Chairman, Hillary Rodham Director of Justice, Alistaire Foster |
