Bill: Military Reorganization Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: NeoSocialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2110

Description[?]:

The time of civil war and of the emirate are finally over. The threat of taking the young generation out of their beds in order to make them fight for a symbol, a religion or a flag they don't support has to vanish today.

A new symbol, a new flag, a new reason to fight still cannot justify that threat. We will bring conscription completely to an end and create a better functional and controlled army made of volunteers and patriots.

MessageI am not in agreeance on this bill. Our people need to serve mandatory time in the military to protect ourselves from the warmongering of the Deltarian nation. The people will understand that it is impairitive to have ALL civilians trained in the art of combat to keep our nations values secure.

MessageI do not believe that anyone should be forced into military service, as I believe it encourages governments and citizens to promote warfare.

Random fact: Bill descriptions must be in English, or at least include a full English translation. Bill titles may appear in a language that is appropriate to the nation and are not required to be translated into English.

Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn
