Bill: Nuclear Reform Act of 2549
Details
Submitted by[?]: Solentian Populist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2549
Description[?]:
In light of the recent shift of power, we reintroduce this legislation: It is the firm belief of the United Democratic Party that the government of Solentia needs to change its views on nuclear power. The U.D.P. believes that the government should take a stronger stance on the advocation of nuclear power. Currently, our government takes no official position on this matter, leaving the decision up to the local governments. We believe that the decision, should in fact, be left up to local governments; however, the federal government should support the use of nuclear power (so as to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels for energy) by providing subsidies and tax relief that would promote the use of nuclear power. I ask other parties to support these changes, for the bettering of our fine nation. Signed, President Hillary Rodham Director of Science and Technology, Jeffery Crask |
