MessageThat's irrelevant. I am dealing with objective parts here:
Clashing: Red clashes with green, no matter who you are
Fragmented: The star is separated from the rest, thus fragmented
Ugly: The two above cause this

Personal opinion on what is ugly is of little importance, it does clash and it is fragmented, my proposed banner is neither of these.

MessageRed and green work for Italy. Hungary. Transdniestria. Morocco. Bulgaria. Saudi Arabia and many other Arabic nations (along with white and black). What you call "fractured" by the separated star is in fact perfectly balanced. Here are some almost miraculous statistics for our existing flag:

- Distance between the star's right-side points and the nearest white chevron is exactly the same distance as the right side of the flag to the opposite side of the other white chevron (at the same height).
- The width of the thickest part of the red chevron is also identical to the distance from the star's left point to the hoist of the flag. This is the same distance between the white chevron's point to the inner corner of the star.
- These white chevrons are identical, and each exactly 1/2 the width of the red chevron.
- The red chevron's thickest part is exactly 1/2 the width of the green field's thinnest part.
- The green field's widest part is 7/2 times as wide as its thinnest part.
- The red star's white outline is one half the width of the white chevrons.
- The black section's widest segments, at the top and bottom, are 11/15 the flag's width.
- Each chevron is formed by the filling of two tangent circles (each with a diameter of the flag's height) and a shifted cutaway of the same shape.
- Red star's total height is exactly 1/2 flag's height

Here is an example of several of the proportions.

Furthermore, a direct comparison between the existing flag and this proposal, toggling back and forth between tabs, yields a major preference in the eyes of the majority for the current flag.

MessageIt's an excellent effort, but in the end I'm going to have to stick with tradition.
