Message | You cannot force the populous to be patriotic, that is their choice. If they wish to participate in the singing of the national anthem, they may do so, but you cannot install a law that absolutely prevents a citizen from utilizing their democratic freedoms. If a citizen opts not to remain curteous during the singing of the national anthem, then by all means, that is their choice. Some may call it ignorant, some might say it is justified. The federal government has no place in legislating upon the millions upon millions of Solentians on an issue such as this, where personal decision is of the most importance. If the government is forcing its people to show respect towards the national anthem, then that means it has little to no faith in the populous. Obviously, if the federal legislature is illegalizing disrespect of the national anthem, there is problem with it. If we have to go out of our way to make a law enforcing the respect of the national anthem, then we should take another look at it. FIP Representative Alexander Ijeral |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
