Bill: Wildlife Liberalization and Protection Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Rationalists (PrCoa)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2552

Description[?]:

It's unclear to us why some parties regard the restriction of ownership of endangered animals to zoos as a superior protection of them. Private ownership along with zoological ownership with strict restrictions on the trade in the animals--including restrictions on their hunting and capture, as already exist under Alorian law--will permit both zoos *and* private individuals with an interest in protecting endangered animals to contribute to their welfare.

We believe this bill permits more individual freedom and better protects wildlife than the current policy. We urge the parties of Aloria to vote for it.
