MessageIn this cabinet, UCC, Lib-Gov, and PSFN each get 4 seats in the cabinet. Even though the Green Socialists (PSVE) do not have any seats in the Assemblee, we think it appropriate to give them the Environment ministry because they show a strong interest in that area of policy and they will be an important ally in overturning some of the more right-wing proposals that have passed in recent years.

Though we disagree with a good deal of what CUF and FMPD have accomplished in UCC's absence, we still respect their views and hope to work with them on bills and treaties that we are in agreement. We thank them for their service and leadership, but the Jelbanian have elected this new majority to bring change and we will work hard to ensure that change is delivered to our good, hardworking people.

MessageThe CUF's opinion to this proposal is best expressed by the pen of CUF's leading satirist, Perridiam J. Thaterton:

"A truly moderate Cabinet! Including a party of fascists that was just recently called "The Fighting Fascist Party". Truly a step forward to peace, harmony and liberty. I applaud the UCC's vision of Jelbania as a totalitarian state."

UCC, your constant willingness to cooperate with extremist groups is disturbing.

MessageUCC has never claimed that we support all the policies of Parti Socialiste-Fasciste National, nor do we espouse the principles of fascism. However, the tide in Jelbanian politics is turning and we are willing to cooperate with different ideologies/viewpoints to form a united front against the right-wing policies that have been enacted.

Simply because we support Parti Socialiste-Fasciste National on some issues (and will work with them in a cabinet coalition) does make UCC supportive of "Jelbania as totalitarian state." To further illustrate this point, we should look at how often parties vote with PSFN. For instance, UCC voted with them 34% of the time (81 votes out of 240), FMDP has voted with them 33% of the time (99 votes out of 299), and CUF has voted with them 29% of the time (77 out of 267) . Those records are not very different.

We have voted against the policies of PSFN 66% of the time. However, we feel we must work with them at the present time to overturn your conservative agenda. We also remember times when your party worked with earlier incarnations of PSFN. Does your voting record and past history with PSFN make your party fascist? Does it make you supporters of a totalitarian state?

Of course not. It would be ridiculous for us to even make that accusation. We respect your differing views and your party's current political predicament. And, as always, we intend on trying to reach common ground with you on as many issues as possible.

Random fact: Periodically, it is a good idea to go through your nation's Treaties and arrange to withdraw from any that are unwanted.

Random quote: "The main problem of the left is that it has been traditionally divided and unable to reach agreements between different leftist views, whilst the right has almost always moved in the same direction by giving concessions to different rightist points of view." - Aelius Celer, former Selucian politician
