Message | The popular sovreignty which this country was built on will be compromised by increasing the terms of parlimentary representatives. The DCD cannot support this proposed constitutional amendment despite our good relationship with the LSD party. James Lott Chairman Democratic Capitalist Delegation |
Date | 05:50:30, April 01, 2008 CET | From | Democratic Capitalist Delegation | To | Debating the LSD Constitutional Amendment #2 |
Message | After a private conference with Chairman Matthew Hogan of the LSD party, the DCD is changing its official stance on this bill. We believe that representatives to parliament will be able to dedicate more energy to bettering and advancing the Republic of Telamon with a 4 year term, as re-election will not be an issue of constant concern. We have assessed that a liberty threatening loss of popular authority will not be suffered by a lengthened term. James Lott Chairman Democratic Capitalist Delegation |

Message | Parliamentarians shouldn't be constantly engaged in campaigning. However, elections force the important business at hand to be concluded prior to the cessation of a term. If terms are lengthened, too much, how can Parliament ever expect to handle the necessary business of the day? -Roger Evars, COM Party Leader |
Date | 07:53:22, April 01, 2008 CET | From | Republican Party | To | Debating the LSD Constitutional Amendment #2 |
Message | The Republican Party believes that 4 years is to long for parliament to really get the important work done. That why the term length should be 2 to 3 years long. The RP would support an increase to 3 years terms. |
Date | 10:06:04, April 01, 2008 CET | From | Rightful Radical Party | To | Debating the LSD Constitutional Amendment #2 |
Message | The Rightful Radical Party won't support any bill that will change the length of a legislative and executive term. We think it is good as it already is. - Vojislav Krkljus, Head of RRP |
