MessageConservative Party of Solentia Presidential Endorsement Announcement
Halion, Solentia
May 2554

Solentia was a noble country once. Partisan rivalries and bickering were dispensed with in favor of compromise for the good of the electorate. Such times are no longer upon us, but this need not stay true.

There remain organizations active within the Solentian government who have not only studied these golden times a century past, but experienced them. It is these parties that implemented much of the legislation which is now so barbarously mutilated by those who would have Solentia modernized and conformed to standards that are not our own. The Federal Republican Party and it's puppets in the Autocratic Nationalist Front and the Ingram Party see no place for the traditions of our ancestors among the future they wish to craft for Solentia.

The Federal Independent Party, the Solentian Radical Nationalist Party, the Conservative Party of Solentia, and the Independent Party each represent a resistance to change for the sake of change. In the turbulent times of our modern world, tradition and culture will prove as an important source of national identity. Throughout the current Senate - and that is what our legislative body truly remains - session, the FIP, SRNP, CPS and IP have worked hand in hand to defend the traditions of Solentia, forming the great Solentian Heritage Coalition. This coalition has blocked the further destruction of our culture, but due to the current allocation of Senate seats a defensive stance is all that can be assumed.

This is why the CPS will be endorsing the FIP candidate for Supreme President Atticus Verish and SNRP candidate for Senate Warden Harold Belisarius during the election of 2555. We think it completely appropriate that these two noble parties, so concerned with the welfare and progress of Solentia, should hold the highest offices in Solentia. I myself will be personally voting for Mr. Verish next April, and I implore those Solentians with enough common sense to see that their national identity is at stake to do so as well.

MessageI totally agree with this speech from Mr. Devreau- the People Party will lend partial support to the FIP to get the government back on track- we have had 6 years of crises' and it is time we get a strong and stable government back on track who cares about Solentia and wants to change and conserve Solentia for the good of this country rather than just modernisation for the pure sake of it like our new government. The amount of legislation passing through the house in recent years has been barbarrick, no wonder our economy is in trouble with big rises in unemployment, with a retirement age at 64 and with taxes being raised because our economy cannot cope with low taxes, because our Minister for Finance didn't bother to invest and save for a rainy day.

Let us work together now, to support the FIP, to get them back on track and to have the veteran parties supporting a candidate who does care about Solentia- even if PP and the FIP haven't always agreed in the past, we would like to think we respect one another and would prefer either of us parties in power rather than the morons and their puppets in their silent alliance like we have now. It is dangerous for these allies to be in government- there is a danger these parties will stick together to such an extent that this country will become authotarian and verge on dictatorship being totally anti-democracy. We cannot allow Solentia back to those dark days, the dark days and times of the SRNP, who tried to dominate Solentian politics and found they couldn't- because 3 or 4 parties including mine stood up and ensured we would never go away until they did- they learned they had to reform and so will these new parties, who don't care about Solentia or democracy and want positions in the cabinet for the salary rather than the changes they have made as they haven't been progressive but stuck in the dark times.

Gregory Black, Party Leader and Party Whip.

MessageMr Black lies so easily it could be mistaken for the truth, but lets look at facts:

As for the SRNP presidencies of the past: despite fear mongering by communists, Saint Hilda's Supreme Presidential terms were peaceful. She ousted Nuncirist elements intending to use her own party and furthermore made certain this country did not back out our vigilience against the evil political philosophy which once nearly destroyed Solentia.

SP Auric Myer begain the SRNP's public dedication to international relations through sport, as well as our commitment to the environment. SP Max Bowman prevented an invastion from Kafuristan while at the same time.

It was also during Bowman's administartion that the Radical Nationalist Volunteer Air Corps, or "Flying Tigers" committed themselves to assist in peacekeeping during the Sekowo civil war when the nation itself refused to lend a hand.

We maintained a peaceful and long lasting relationship with the FIP for decades, which we are pleased to have reinstated. The facts speak plainly against Greg Black.

We will stand for no further slander of our past leadership. We will answer back to every such accusation with truth.

Rhegium, Fuwan
July 2554

*Excerpt from televised speech presented by Federal Independent Party Presidential Candidate*

I am honored today to be standing here in Rhegium, in the great Solentian state of Fuwan. I have long admired Rhegium and its independent politics. It has stood as testimony that no matter what sweeping movement takes place throughout the country, the domestic politics brewed within this community remain strong. These are the true values of Solentians - no matter how much an issue or matter may be overhyped, there will always be the silent majority. And among this crowd of the populous there stands the integral movement advanced by those of non-partisan, traditional values.

Solentia is in need of change. We all have hope for the new and the old. But to what point does this hope fade? We begin to understand that promises of hope may be more than we imagined and our dreams are shattered. This is the sense of the latest regimes. Built upon false hope, lies, and deceit. Promising change when it is for the worst. Encouraging the downcasting of the old, tried, tested and true in favor of the enshrining of the uncertain new. Instead of embracement for both sides, both aisles of life, the latest regime has spoken of complete overhauls, where Solentian tradition is seen as unholy and wrong. The mouth of the dismal regime has spoken to belittle strong values and replace them with an insecure future, a future where you are no longer able to have pride in history. The history of our great nation and the works before these current coalitions is being decimated by this endless partisan bicker. And while there is fault for all parties involved, it is quite clear the opposition has proven their intent on desecrating our proud traditional values and symbols. No matter what the symbol may be, if it is of the past they wish to see it eradicated from the text books and replaced quickly with what isf the essence of the spur of the moment.

We believe in a movement for the new era of progressive politics, where partisanship vanishes like it did in the first years of the youthful Federal Republic. The integral movement staged by leaders such as Federal Independent Thiris Steton along with Dennis Kucik and Conservative Party member Kevin Sunderland proved to be a period of tranquility and prosperity in Solentian history. WIth the sweeping promise of "change" from former coalitions, this was destroyed and created a long period of restoration in bi-partisanship. It was not until the Federal Independents and Radnats, who later became the Meritocrats, that this essence was rebuilt and the foundation re-constructed. This has vanished however, and we must seek to recreate these moments for the good of the Federal Republic.

What is change? I will tell you what I believe it is. It is the essential movement in which forces unite to accomplish something truly better, where it is not simply an improvement for one aisle, but the other as well. It is an achievement all Solentians can and will respect. This reform is modest and has the best intent for the populous. However, if you revise this simple prospect and modify the definition into what it is now, it becomes a derogatory term. The current and latest regimes have built themselves up on the idea of change. And while I may certainly respect this, they are doing it for a simple reasoning with malicious intent: Change for the sake of change. Not for necessarily a better cause, not for an improvement, but an opinionated, subjective cause which clearly has no motive other than to try and falsely display reform to government. These false revisions are easy to manipulate and are designed to play upon the citizenry's emotions, but it will not accomplish what all parties want. To the contrary, this change is fruitless and has in some ways worse effects than good.

I run today for the sake of a new direction in Solentia. While I remain a proud supporter of the old tradition, we will seek a movement that will advance all causes. It will not be an advancement purely for my party or likeminded thinkers' benefit. This will not be my goal. My goal, however, will be to unite a shattered front. Solentians are bitterly torn between the old and new. We can have both and cross the aisleway to accomplish better, more practical things for us all. This is no longer a period of time where we can fight our way to reach an objective, tooth and nail. We should not have to go through a process such as that. Instead, truly embrace democratic ideals and work to persuade for the greater good. We can no longer take the beatings the nation is absorbing. Let us heal the wounds of the past and create an envisionment of the new and a place for the valued old.

I am estatic to have the support of the honorable parties within the legislature. The Conservative Party, the Solentian Radical Nationalist Party, the Independent Party, and the People Party. And while I may not receive endorsements from my most bitter rivals, I will say that we both know there must be an end to the division. This may turn out to be a one versus one fight off, with parties united to create the most support for one individual, but the candidate who comes out as the victor must keep in mind the other percentage of Solentians that voted for him or her. We can no longer ignore the other half, the large minority. As President, I will seek to lift up both enemies and allies.

My friends, while I am seen to be an iconic figure for the liberal agenda within this nation, let me say this now: I will never hesitate to understand the opposition's viewpoints. Let us create a strong relation between the left and right once more, like it originally was, and let us forget this nonsensical partisanship.

As President, I will stand for you - and that is change you can hope for.

Thank you all.

Message"Hello, I am Cyril Morning.I'd like to ask for your support in the coming Supreme Presidential elections, April 2061. We stand on the precipice of war economic hardship. During my time in the Solentian Air Force and as a member of the diplomatic corps, I've earned the experience to see us through what we're facing, with your help.

We must navigate the dangerous river we move on now, not adrift but in control. We must not move blindly into danger, but we must prepare for whatever may come to pass in defense of the motherland. At the same time, we must continue to heal the enmities between the parties of this great nation. I propose a Solentia that is healthier, happier, and more involved with the outside world, not as an aggressor, but as a helpful neighbor, a friend to all fellow democracies and a foe of those who would threaten our liberty as free Solentians by proxy.

Please consider your vote very carefully in the coming months. This is all that I ask. Thank you for your time and I approve this message.

It has been suspected widely that the Federal Republican Parties Ulrich Naveed, current incumbent Supreme President would not be seeking a forth term. Though today in a private meeting with the Supreme President's Press Secretary, Mrs. Dana White announced that Mr. Naveed remains to have overwhelming support internally within the F.R.P. and will seek another term as Supreme President:

"President Naveed clearly feels embatteld on all fronts and by many parties within Solentia. It was only by the urging of fellow party members given the turbulent times we are now facing and how vigorously President Naveed has pursued the issues at hand that Mr. Naveed accepted his parties nomination. I speak for the President myself when I say it would be a crime against the Republic for the current prime-mover behind the scenes in various key and tense diplomatic exercises abroad were to give up or worse yet-be sacked by a candidate who is not fully briefed and personally pursuing an agenda of peace when war threatens to come knocking upon our doors."

"On behalf of the Federal Republican Party and Supreme President Ulrich Naveed we would like to thank our past supporters and backers of Mr. Naveed as our Republic's Head of State and would like to ask others to use their best judgment in the upcoming elections and also endorse Mr. Naveed."

MessageHowdy. I'm Manny Spooner. You probably remember me for my knuckle ball back when I played for the Halion Hellcats.

I'm running for Supreme President apparently. Why should you elect me? Because Supreme President Naveed may be a vampire. I'm not saying that he is. But you know, someone should look into that. I joke. But seriously..

There are a lot of fat people in Solentia. That's not their fault. Have you seen the crap they are selling at Burger Hut? Gimme a break. Let's have tax breaks for people who stay in fitness programs. Let's penalize restaurants that declare war on our arteries. Are you with me? If we can put a man on the moon, which we did, by the way, I looked that up, we can make a cheesecake that won't kill a man. It just takes a triumph of will.

As a former Coastie I know that we need to maintain our defense. I will be seeking out the best military advise possible, and I'll put together a cabinet of people with real experience. I don't kneed a bunch of yes men. I want smokin hot interns. Whoa, shouldn't have said that. I want people with experience. People who will more often than not say, "Manny you're wrong about that and here's why." So I'm gonna listen. As a pitcher, you pay attention to your catcher or you're benched. As your next Supreme President, I don't wanna be benched. Who does? You're my catcher. No wait, the cabinet is my catcher, and the Solentian people are my coach. I dont know who the ump is. Ask not what Solentia can do for you, just tell Solentia, "Put me in coach, I'm ready to play."

I realize that we have a very belligerant Kafuristan to deal with, I have many plans for that. Have you ever thought of how scary a bald guy with a beard is? That is going to be part of the new army uniform. Kafuris will realize we will have a million-man army of angry bald-headed bearded dudes just ready to make mashed potatoes out of them. So don't mess with us Kafuristan, or we will turn your country into a barren desert and even a lizard won't live there. You heard me. Frankly, I would be willing to wrestle the Head of State of Kafuristan over whatever issues we face. That's fair. I've been training. You know I don't care what Sports Weekly says, I didn't just go soft after I retired, i keep in shape. And if those reporters think they can talk about me behind my back they've got another..

Sorry. I am being told I am running out of time on this political address. Look i know I am a late-term candidate, and that the guy I supersceded wasn't exactly popular with anyone but some freakish people I wouldn't want to be stuck in an elevator with, but think about voting for me. I know how to win, and someone who knows how to win, knows how to party when they win. Elect me Supreme President and I promise I will host the biggest barbeque in the history of Terra right in the middle of Halion. Seriously, I'll do that. Thanks Solentia. Hail the motherland and all that.

Bye.

MessageAfter a long, and eventful run from the Federal Republic Party as the leaders of our nation it is time for the Autonomist Party of Solentia to enter their own candidate for Supreme President. We have prepared a brief outline of our stances on many recurring and important issues:

Slavery: As you know we have strongly opposed the adoption of slavery in all its forms and will be recommending the Foreign Affairs Minister to adopt Global Emancipation Treaty which would prevent our country from the sudden change that occurred just a few short years ago.

Foreign Affairs: As many of you may or may not know the majority of our citizens are in favor of internationalism and according to the parties that represent them not one is even close to representing this. We would like to expand our global influence, but this can not happen without support from our fellow parties.

Economy: As the members of the People Party keep pointing out our economy could be stronger, but they fail to realize that it is far from weak and that our nation is leading the way for Terra. Our party would seek to further balance our trade and industry with more government control and government sponsored programs. By taking the power to hire/fire/pay employees from greedy old men we ensure that all qualified and responsible workers will be doing the best they can for our country.

Religion: As always the APS will seek to protect the rights of religions and their leaders. People in the modern world and throughout history continuously seek out religion in it's various forms and use it for various purposes. We respect peoples right to associate with religion, but we can not tolerate people seeking to destroy it.

MessageFrom the Offices of the F.R.P.

It is quite disheartening to see this announcement by the A.P.S. a long-time friend and associate of the F.R.P. formally renounce it's support of our party. Given the latest fraudulent elections, I would hope the A.P.S. is determined to not see the vile and bigoted S.R.N.P. seize more power nor the pacifist F.I.P. Though, in our proud democracy all are entitled to sponser a candidate for the office of Supreme President. The F.R.P. will be sponsoring Mr. Naveed again as the electorate is quite clear who in fact-is in step with the Solentian people. I would ask the A.P.S. in the event of, keep the F.R.P. as their candidate of choice within the second round of voting given now we'll have at least 5 individuals seeking the office.

He steered a course of peace through clouds of war. He led the Senate to prosperity. He kept Solentia's heritage and coulture alive. For 15 years, Harold Belisarius answered the call as Senate Warden, and 10 years before that as a Senator. In 2568, he will answer the call as Supreme President.

"In every action, a leader should realize he is a servant to the people, not an autocrat. I've seen the evil that preys upon the common citizens of Solentia. I know how to fight it, and I've fought it successfully before. This is a struggle all Solentians are in together. Lend your suppor to the Solentian Radical Nationalist Party in the coming election. You won't regret it. Saving our nation begins now." -Harold Belisarius

Harold came from modest upbringing, an Orthodox family from Nukeya. His father was a steel-mill worker. Harold became an attourney by working at nights as a security guard to pay his way through college. But he never forgot where he came from, or that the strength of our society rests on the families that allow it to survive and perpetuate. He entered politics early and was soon a member of the Senate.

While this may surprise some due to our continuous support of FIP candidates in the past (and we continue to see the FIP as an excellent party of leadership and compromise), but CSPS leadership has decided that backing the SRNP will garner more votes in the coming election, and help to establish a SHC Supreme Presidency once more.

Senator Robert Odin, financial tycoon, founder of Odin Securities before he became involved in politics. A former member of the FRP, he bolted and joined SRNP 12 years ago during the Naveed administration. He is considered a moderate both fiscally and socially.

Manny Spooner: Hall of fame baseball player, radio personality, and Minister for Environment and Tourism. His previous run for Supreme President was an freak situation caused by the loss and disqualification of many other candidates within his own party. Socially leniant (by RadNat standards) and fiscally conservative, Manny is considered to be the candidate most willing to work with other parties.

Aubi Styer: Aubi Styer has been the primary force behind the moderate changes within the SRNP, but she is both a strict militarist, and an avid supporter of state religion.

Col Laurence Stramm served under General Cyril Morning in the Hutori Civil War. A stanch militarist, he represents the extreme totalitarian wing of the SRNP, and is considered a long-shot.

MessageThe RadNat nomination race seems to be between three factions within the party. Party traditionalists favor Senate Party Speaker Harvey Girk, while the moderates are backing Senator Melvin Belisarius, son of the late Harold Belisarius.

A third option supports backing the FIP entirely this next election. While the party is going to back FIP in a runoff, the option to run a candidate at all has some support due to the fact that no candidate from the SRNP is given much of a chance. "None of the Above" therefore remains an option on the ballot.

MessageThe Solentian Radical Nationalist Party nominating convention of 2579 ended in chaos as supporters of hardliner Senator Harvey Girk were denied a nomination by machinations of the moderates, led by Senator Melvin Belisarius, son of the late Senate Warden Harold Belisarius along with a recent revival of the Meritocratic faction of the party which controlled it for decades earlier this century.

Belisarius, lacking the same degree of support as the hardliners, urged his own faction to support the "None of the Above" option. Girk was denied his nomination, and the party will instead back the FIP in the coming election

As a backlash Girk and other hardliner senators have left party affiliation and many voters have likewise ended their membership.

"We don't have the quorum of senators, by our own by-laws, to propose legislation, though we will still vote in the particracy." explaned new party exarch Ray Yardlow.

After the walkout the convention was extended by emergency, and the party was renamed, ostensibly, temporarily to "Solentian Front National". Current members of the Cabinet from the SRNP did not leave the convention and have agreed to stay on as Solentian Front National.

"We felt since we are missing so many of our party, we can't reasonably continue on as the Solentian Radical Nationalist Party unless there could be a unification down the road. I don't know when that could be." explained Yardlow.

October 2581

The Federal Independent Party officially nominated a candidate for the Supreme Presidential race in the upcoming election of 2583. After a series of primaries were held in each state, a clear candidate was launched into the front-running position. Federal Independent Foreign Affairs Minister Jack Ceveran garnered over 67% of the vote from Federal Independent registered voters throughout the country.

"I am pleased to see that a direction has been procured by this party. My campaign has offered a definite plan for this nation and seeks to continue the last administration's policies of running a strengthened nation" said Ceveran at a celebration in downtown Rhegium. "The nation will continue to unite, as it has under the last few administrations, and will embrace a strong sense of bi-partisanship as we face any critical problems that may arise."

The son of former Federal Independent Party President Helios Ceveran, Jack Ceveran rose to the party's national spotlight within a short period of time. A popular individual who is known for his excellent debating skills, Ceveran has attracted a legion of followers among the youth of the country. Ceveran, who is 32, is seen as an iconic figure that communicates with the young populous and voters. He was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs at the young age of 26 under SRNP Supreme President Aubi Styer and currently holds the position under Supreme President Calvin Jerrard's cabinet. Prior to his appointment as Minister, Ceveran served as a Senator from Fuwan from 2568 - 2575.

Jack Ceveran's campaign is focused on a new agenda of increased government activity and to bolster the national budget in accordance to new program spending. He also plans to take a more active role in international dealings that will strictly benefit Solentia and will play no role in harming its current economic and social situation.

While the SRNP does have links with the Othodox Catholic Church of Terra, membership in it is not compolsory, though this is the first Jewish candidate the party has ever run for Supreme President.

While it reflects the changes that have occured to the party over the years, Mr Goldstein is far more pragmatic about his candidacy. "I'm a fiscal conservative, and I'm also pro-trade. The only party that's really working to get us out of this backwards, leftist, isolationist sludge is the SRNP.
