Message | Government telling the citizens what they can and cannot do becomes a slippery slope of eroded personal freedoms. The Donners will vote no when the time comes. |
Date | 15:43:46, April 01, 2008 CET | From | GUBA Party | To | Debating the P2554.2: National Pride |
Message | This is no place for the Government to impede on liberty. If you don't want the citizens burning flags, do more to make them happy. |
Date | 23:00:59, April 01, 2008 CET | From | Royal Socialist Party of Hulstria | To | Debating the P2554.2: National Pride |
Message | We agree with the APC, the flag, though symbolic, is just a piece of cloth. Let them do with it what they want. Just because we allow it doesn't mean the people will desecrate the flag. And making flag desecration illegal might actually make the citizens want to desecrate the flag even more, since the government is taking away their rights for a piece of cloth |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
