Bill: Anarch Anakrousite Reform Bill - Foreign Aid (ii)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Commonwealth Workers Army
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2112
Description[?]:
The AAP believes that Likatonia is in a position to help lesser peoples, and that, because we CAN, we have a tacit responsibility to do so. We realise that some other Likatonian party members MAY balk at such suggestions, but we believe that our global economy may be influenced by how we act on this matter. Previous discussion on this matter has suggested that Likatonian politicians oppose HIGH levels of aid, so the AAP suggests a more 'lenient' burden. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy towards giving aid to foreign countries.
Old value:: The government only gives aid for disaster relief in foreign countries.
Current: The government gives moderate aid to countries in need.
Proposed: The government gives moderate aid to countries in need.

Message | We are split, our compassionate side suggest we should give more, our realist side says aid will only be squandered by corrupt governments. |

Message | The AAP does not intend to fuel other nations. We intend to see that Likatonian aid agencies apply aid DIRECTLY to those in need. We also believe that the most important aid we can give is education, and assistance - rather than just feeding the poor. We operate on the maxim: "Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he'll eat EVERY day". |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
