Bill: Cabinet Proposal of November 2555

Details

Submitted by[?]: Chidan Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2556

Description[?]:

This proposal brings together both right wing and left wing politics, which I believe can offer the best of the political ideals of both sides. It provides 4 ministries to the EGP and also the position of head of state, 4 ministries to the ECP and 2 ministries to both the SRP and us, the Chidan party.
In this proposal, every nation included is better off than in that which the NLPE have proposed. It also offers a more balanced government which I feel can benefit the nation much more than a government focusing on one side of the political spectrum only.

MessageThis is extremely cynical, trying to buy memebers of the successful Centre-Liberal Coalition by over-representing them.

It is better that members of a coalition are of like-mind, so that the operations of government can be geared towards common goals.

MessageFirstly your proposal had not been passed when this coalition had been proposed, so it was by no means "successful".
Secondly there is no harm, whatsoever, in giving parties more choice in terms of who they want to go into power with. Competition is healthy and should be encouraged. We have our ideas of what is right for this nation, they clearly differ from yours, so naturally we will fight to achieve our goals.

MessageWe meant successful in that it has been unified and mutually beneficial for all parties involved, not to mention the people of Indrala.

The CP is free to propose cabinets with their own interests in mind rather than the promotion of good governance, just as we are free to label such tactics cynical.

MessageBeneficial to the people of Endralon, in your opinion of course. Again, we clearly differ in our opinions of good governance, and what really is beneficial to the people of Endralon.
