MessageThis would be a "conferalist" flag?

NO!

If the PCLRA are serious about flag changes, name changes etc., you must realise that requires the support of 2/3 of the whole parliament, so you really need the vast majority of parties to support the change and you should negotiate with others, if you're serious about a change.

MessageOtherwise you're just wasting your own time making these flags. I think I've said that before. It's the last time I'll say it aswell. Fair enough if you want to keep wasting your time designing flags etc. that won't get passed.

MessageIn principle, we can support this. Conceptually, it works, and we will cast a yes vote for something of this nature.

We would like to have a little more discussion first, so we won't support this specific action, but we agree in principle to the addition of the 5 stars.

Would you prefer 8 stars? :D

MessageWell, we would like to see room to add additional stars in time...at least 4...but we can stick with 5 for the interim...

MessageThis looks okay - although a little busy. I think - if we're serious about adding the stars, we should see if we can't remove the dove.

MessageWow, is this a new imperalist position of the SUDJ?

MessageHow is that imperialist? We happen to like our flag, and would rather that - whatever iteration we keep - never gets complicated beyond the point that a child could draw one at school, with a little work.

The Dove was initially a temporary measure that kind of stuck, and breaks one of the main design features of the flag - which was always that it could be hung either horizontally OR vertically. The stars are not unattractive, don't really break the idea of the flag (if one looks carefully, the 5 prefectures are all already delineated in the flag as it stands)... and would certainly be a fitting replacement for the dove, at the very least.
