MessageWhile we obviously have nothing but the highest regard for CP economists, the fact that they are not the party that heads the Finance Department unfortunately means we have little attention to give to their proposal.

Message"the fact that they are not the party that heads the Finance Department unfortunately means we have little attention to give to their proposal."

The CLP didn't hold that portfolio back in the days when they pushed through (successfully thanks to the AMRLP support) radical economic reforms. Why should it be any different for the CP?

Besides the finance ministers in this country haven't been doing their job for a very long time to say that they've let such a massive debt build up.

Come on, we can't honestly keep spending 3 times our income. Think about that prom a personal finance - a microeconomic point of view first - you're income is 100£ year - and you're spending 300£ a year, thus increasing your debt by 200£ every year. All your 100£ income would end up being spent on interest eventually.

So add that to the marcoeconomic scenario and government expenditure. It simply cannot continue. We are living way beyond our means and the standard of living of the country has to be decreasing rapidly. There has to be hyper-inflation, the country must be printing buckets of money. It cannot continue. The country is in a crises. This bill is the first step to economic recovery.

MessageLRA, what logical reason do you have for not supporting this bill? Honestly - you recieve 1$ - you spend 3$ - every day - the debt adds up. Can't you see the problem?
