Bill: Public Health Care

Details

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2561

Description[?]:

Private health care clinics are unethical as they provide a select few wealthy citizens with better, faster medical care. The resources of Telamon should be dedicated fully to creating a quick, efficient, free health care system.

MessageThis does not have our support. Diversity and competition create a more effectual society.

MessageWe see no reason to ban private clinics. As it is, private clinics are heavily regulated by the state, and any patient unhappy with the private health care system is welcome to become a member of the state run one. Above all, our party believes in supporting as few state monopolies as possible to keep our free market operating efficiently.

MessageWe find it a curious concern that the RRP would support communism.

MessageIt seems ironic, since previously the RRP used communist scares as a way of mustering up support for their nationalist causes.

MessageLets get one thing clear. We said: "We would rather make a Government coalition with the USPP, than with the so called 'Liberal block.". We stay to this. We see this as a benefit to the people because we can have only the public health care, which saves money for regulating smaller and private clinics and that saved money can be invested in our public health care system which we know will function.

Messagethe RRP also on another USPP bill, to which they voted no, said "This will lead to communism which we do not want."

We find it difficult to follow the flip-flopping politics of the RRP, and find it disgraceful that they would support communism simply because of personal grudges held against liberal parties of this nation.

The DCD has striven to work with the RRP and other conservative parties since its inception 6 years ago, and has always been open to compromise. However, if the RRP's final decision is to take a stand supporting communism, the DCD will be forced to conclude that in a desperate power bid to regain control of parliament, the RRP has elected to forfeit the greater good of Telamon in order to press an agenda intended to advance only themselves.

We will not work with, compromise with, or recognize any party, be it liberal or conservative, which has forfeited its allegiance to the people of our great Republic.

MessageYou DCD people obviously don't understand one thing: we won't accept any bill that proposes communism. We don't think this bill is communism. On that bill, yes, we did say that it will lead to communism and we don't want to vote in favor. The only thing we said that approves of the USPP is "We would rather make a Government coalition with the USPP, than with the so called 'Liberal block."

MessageYou do not want to support Communism, yet you will align yourself, and help promote an agenda, of a party that is openly socialist - nay, communist?
This is hot ice indeed! The RRP is not worthy of its radical name.

MessageOh, the Radical Party is a really stubborn and dull lot. We just say that it is better to have democrasy-socialism in the government than the libertarians who call themselves 'Radical'.

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with.
