Bill: Explore Southern Dovani.

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Union Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2561

Description[?]:

We propose sending a small yet sturdy team of scientists and explorers to Southern Dovani. We know little about the places and people there, and researching it could bring us closer to scientific breakthroughs. For all we know, there could be a fountain of youth there. It may also bring in economic wealth if we find gold or oil.

Several other countries have colonies there, and in Squibble to the south. If we don't act now, all the interesting and economically beneficial countries will have been colonised.

The expedition force will consist of
(H.R.S stands for Hutorian Republic Ship)

H.R.S Victory-D (A small frigate, in case of attack and for transport)
The John Briggs (a large yacht owned by Master Builder John Briggs, to transport building materials)
Twenty Jeeps, incase rough terrain is encountered.
One (armoured) Humvee, in case of attack
Fifty scientists and ecologists
Fifty business workers
Three hundred and fifty builders
Ten soldiers.

The colony would be called 'New Adelia' and would be the big region at the very south.

MessageThis seems interesting.
As long as we don't attack or chase away natives, and as long as the research is being done in an honourable way, we agree.

MessageWe can support this.
Though we have 1 prequisite, that politics be completely left behind on this mission and that the members are not chosen according to their particular political background.

We may have our differences, but we are all citizens of Hutori when it comes down to it.

MessageIndeed, it sounds like a good idea. A chance to improve the standard of living in Hutori is what we aim for.

We would like too see a greater number of people taking part in this expedition, including an increase in Soldiers. We feel that if Hutori does unearth some secret then some other force may bully us to hand it over.

MessageWe feel that it is almost necessary for us to deliver civilisation to the native, un-colonialised Dovanians. We should however send more soldiers with the expedition, so that we don't stand armless against eventual rebels or whatever armed troops there are to find.

MessageTherefore, we will also send a ship belonging to Theodore Schmöller, the "Naval Queen", together with some food, troops, scientists, explorers, and armed guards (20-30).

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.
