Bill: South-East Expansion

Details

Submitted by[?]: 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2563

Description[?]:

With the current potential conflicts looming over Southern Dovani and Squibble we beleive that we need to have a presence in the South-Eastern part of our hemisphere.

Therefore we propose that we colonize the (relatively) small island off of the Eastern coast of Vascania.

MessageEh, lets let tensions subside. Though being an avid expansionist myself, I think we have enough for now.

MessageIt's a bit disconnected. We would prefer annexation of northern Vascania.

From Imperial Pluralism Party
ToDebating the South-East Expansion
MessageWe agree that the establishment of bases in the south is important. The current proposal seems adequate, although a northern Vascanian annex would be more unified, and we additionally propose taking a small piece of Southern Dovani and establishing naval bases there for the servicing of a Pan-Dovani defense force.

MessageThe island is not inhabited, atleast we know it is not permanently inhabited.
It's mostly tropical forest on the interior with a large Savannah area to the South.

OOC:
NPP, Dovani is nearly twice as big as Africa, it's not that hard to imagine.

I have to say though they seem to be the sorriest group of Humans ever though, they seem to be literally nothing more then stupid hairless monkeys.

MessageDSP, that's not fair. They were never exposed to our culture and our way of living. This goes for any indigenous tribe. This is how your ancestors were at one point in time too which means you are a descendant from a 'stupid hairless monkey'.

OOC: Maybe from Beiteynu? =)

MessageI acknowledge that Humans were'nt always smart, but seriously, even peoples who were'nt exposed to European and Asian cultures were far more advanced then that, I mean really, no comprehension of numbers, history or familiar ties except siblings.

MessageDSP, it's a cultural mindset. They have a history of a few generations, and they understand parentage. They're just extremely focused on the now, is all. Understandable for a hunter-gatherer society.

MessageThis is not the right time to spread our military further thin especially for an island with little strategic importance. I would prefer the north-west of the island west of the proposed site. But after the war.
