MessageLesser seats = less democracy

lesser seats = no representation of the people

lesser seats = faulty representation e.g. COM gains 14% of the vote, and gets 7 seats, RRP gains 15% of the vote, and gains 17 seats. it could happen.

more seats = more democracy

more seats = more representation

MessageDo you know how long it takes for a parliament of 400 members to get through a dispute? I'll tell you, 30 hours. If we have more seats, every Jack and Joe from the playground can enter the Parliament. That representation principle can be fixed by making a constitutional amendment which we can do if this bill is passed, and it also tells us the well-known fact that the LSD favor COM over RRP. That first bit 'Lesser seats = less democracy' is equal to 'As John eats more - he gets more thin'. It is just a fraud computation. We should know what democracy is, because in the first days of the RRP we fought against the extreme right Republicans and CAM (now COM) and the extreme left TNCP. The second bit is dissmised with the fact that only the people that all Telamonians want can enter the Parliament. Small ideas, small minds.

Message"If we have more seats, every Jack and Joe from the playground can enter the Parliament."

We are the Jack and Joe, and the Jills. The political parties do not rule the people, Mr. Crnobrnja. The people formulate the government. Every Jack, Joe, and Jill should participate in the government. We view the RRP's statement as elitist posturing. Everyone should have the ability to run for office, and everyone should have at least some kind of chance to get in the Parliament, if the votes are behind them. Who are we to decide who can be in the government, and who can't be. It is quick road to fascism. We believe that more seats gains more representation from the people, because the percentages are more real. Let's look for empiricle evidence to support my claims.

In August of 2444, there was an election, in this nation, held with only 75 seats up for grabs. The Centre Party, took 21.78% of the votes, and gained 22.67% of the seats.

The Nova Prospekt Party gained 20.99% of the votes, and also gained 22.67% of the seats.

A total of 18,446,134 people voted for the Centre Party, while 17,777,211 people voted for the Nova Prospekt Party. 668,923 more people voted for the Centre Party, but the two parties ended up with the same amount of seats; 17.

A total of 668,923 people were not represented in 2444, and by making our seat numbers larger, we can reduce this number. We can never perfectly represent the people, but we can come damn close.

MessageAlso, the people who voted for different parties in the 2444 election were misrepresented, because, if you notice, both the Centre Party and the Nova Prospekt Party gained more seats than they should have. By having more seats, we cut down the difference between seat percentage and vote percentage.

MessageHmm, a lot of text, worthless at best. That problem can be fixed by a constitutional amendment. Lets imagine any Jack and Joe giving you a replica in the Parliament Mr Hogan? He would say: 'Sorry to interrupt you Mr Hogan, but what time do the pubs close 'round here?'

MessageThis is madness. We cannot keep changing the amount of seats in parliament. If we are to find an optimal number, we most certainly do not believe that 75 would be it.

MessageWe call for any evidence on how 75 seats represents the people more than 501 seats. Our government is a representative democracy by nature. Representing the people is what we do, as politicians. The RRP has simply avoided our evidence and our statements by saying they are "worthless." We would also like to inquire as to what constitutional amendment would fix the representation problem?

MessageIf this bill passes, I assure you, we would make a constitutional amendment (I do not remember which law it is but it can CERTAINLY be done) to fix the percentage problem. You see, if there is less seats there is less chance that a party that is supported by a small amount of voters can have some seats in the parliament and be the part that can tore down a vital piece of legislation. But, if we want to focus on the quality of seats, lets put the parliament to 250 seats. It is the only reasonable higher number and loads of states operate with that system.
