Message"How many consumers are going to trust products not fully labelled?

The answer is not many. Labeling products is in the economic self-interest of a corporation and its profits. They will fully label the products. And consumer unions and consumer advocacy groups will provide information to the consumers, and any corporations falsely labeling anything will take huge hits."

Message"Corporations will not label their goods for this will be an extra cost to them, they will instead use collusion to ensure none of them publish food ingredients leaving the average citizen to suffer. This is the primary motive of industry, to reduce costs in order to make marginal gains with no care for the consumers."

Message"Yes, profit is the prime motive. But if consumer groups are pointing out the faults of corporations, as long as the government does not protect corporations and the corporations do not initiate force, then some corporations will simply start labeling simply to get an edge on their competitors.

Just like competition causes prices to drop because everyone's trying to have lower prices than the others, corporations would try to put up more labels and safety standards than others.

In the 26th century, labeling does not cost anywhere near as much extra as it did in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and so it would become an edge for competition - just as improving product quality is."
